Hello all... Love the forum and have been lurking around for a long time but this is my first post. I have been playing rougelikes since Rouge and Moria. But was always a save scummer... I did not start learning anything until actually reading about things here and playing and dying hundreds of times. So anyway on to my question. My most recent successful character has just found a scroll of Acquirement and I am curious as to how it would best be used... I can't seem to find any informative information about it so any help would be appreciated... My clvl is 26 and I am currently on dlvl 23. thanks in advance and keep on divin'...

I say just read it and hope for the best. Others will probably tell you to sell it, or get as deep as you reasonably can before reading it. Thanks for the reply... I have sort of gathered that it could be tied to the dlvl that you are currently on, but wasn't exactly sure... I may hang on to it for a bit as long as my char survives for a while and see about using it later...Comment

Read it now, or sell it. Holding onto it for later just means that you end up never using it, or if you do remember it's so late that it has practically no hope of giving you something useful.Comment
