Ladder equation

I was wondering about the equation used to rank scores on the *Angband* ladder - is this mentioned anywhere, a forum search doesn't show any posts. It appears to max out at 99M. Obviously slaying Morgoth should be a bonus but doing this in the least number of moves with inferior characters demonstrates skill.

Ladder is sorted by level first, then experience, more is better. If you're interested in leet winner achievements, toggle the sort order to 'winners' (this is recent addition).

The reason I went with exp is that back when I started this site, dumps contained little other useful fields I could use. Modern competition mini-ladders are usually* sorted by exp/turns, which should approximate playing skill instead of grind.
