Crash on startup (v 3.2 Mac OS X 10.4.11 PPC)

Before I open a ticket I'd thought I'd check to see if anyone else sees this. When I start up 3.2, it crashes. Removing the prefs makes no difference. Running on Mac OS X 10.4.11 on a PPC. Here is the CrashReporter log:

    Hi,

I would encourage you to open a ticket at http://trac.rephial.org

I'm not sure any of the devs are currently developing on PPC OSX so it wouldn't surprise me if something bad is going on. Even if it ends up being something minor it's nice for us to have this crash in our bug tracker.

I think there is a PPC OSX machine in my apartment that I can test on... once I'm back home I'll try it out.

Yep, I've had the same problem - crash on start-up.

I see the ticket is open, #1282.

An update. The devs seem to have a lead on the problem having to do with Stack Protection code (go to the ticket to get the gory details). But I was able to find a temporary solution by compiling from source on my machine, after removing the -arch i386 flag. So until the bug is fixed, one can try that as a temporary fix.
