I was discussing something almost but not quite entirely unrelated to inscribing items.

You can press the capital "I" key (it's between "O" and "U" on most keyboards) to inspect your items. Maybe you know this already. Just thought I'd point it out since you keep equipping so much junk and it's apparently gotten you killed.

Maybe Thievery + RoCON or Cammithrim + RoCON instead of Power + RoFA could have saved your life. HP usually helps.

OK, maybe I am gullible, but I initially had a feeling that the OP was genuine. An Angband beginner with poor English, maybe from some east-european country like Moldavia or Kosovo. Now i'm not sure.

Anyway, his posting style is intensely personal and, with or without intention, quite funny. Those "eeeek"s, I see as an expression of some inexpressible feeling, ("eeek, a Jabberwocky"), and I am tempted to use something similar myself. Maybe "aaak" or "oook", hm, is there a pattern here?

Those lines of tildes, "~~~~~~", confuses me, so I see them as an expression of confusion.

My initial impression was genuine as well, but after my query about his sound effects was completely ignored and seeing his(?) following posts seeming to be even more injected with the things as well as additional, erm, "silliness," I began to doubt.
