Does Eddie retain the (non-activatable) benefits of magical equipment (i.e. plusses, resistance) when his equipment is not identified?

Eddie just got mind-blasted by a Mind Flayer in a small vault and teleported out, and now I'm just curious if it's safe for him to go back in there and finish the job without re-identifying everything...

Yes. You always get the benefits/penalties of your equipment, even before you I'd it.

You just won't see the numbers show up on your Character screen until you I'd them.

In newer versions amnesia is temporary effect anyway. In older versions you can protect from memory loss by *ID* or by dropping items to the ground before attack (amnesia doesn't affect items in your house or in the floor, only to those you are carrying, which is a bit contradictory to effect).
