    Resist question...

    So I was wondering if using a resistance spell and then throwing a resistance potion counts as double resisting. I ask because I jsut attacked a AMHD after using resistance and quaffing a rPoison potion. The message said that I was more resistant to poison. Lucky for me it wasn't put to the test. The AMHD breathed lighting once before I phased out and healed up. I only have 301hp and I was down to 219 so I didn't want to take any chances with him breathing even though by that point the AMHD as at least down 25% of his hit points.

    But yeah that was my question since I may do something this crazy in the near future depending on if my hunch was correct.

    Thanks in advance: )

    @Fendell:
    Short answer: no. Double resistance only comes from temporary + permanent resist, with another x2 resistance vs acid for armor.

    Potion + spell doubles the duration of the resistance, but so does casting the spell twice.

      That additional x2 resistance vs acid comes from acid that tries to damage your gear. In that case it cuts damage down that additional 1/2.

      It does not work if acid damage picks up a slot with no armor or armor which has been damaged to max damage by acid already. In those cases you get full damage minus resistances just like from any other basic element.
