No really. I hadn't played it in so long, I had no idea how much progress had been made compared to e.g. ToME 2 and Zang. For instance, I love how wielding stuff gives you information about it... And how a character's perception and searching skills are actually useful! Woo hoo!
(For reference, searching and perception have to be obscenely high to do anything in T2.)
Also, is it just me or are down staircases a lot more common in V than in e.g. O or FA?
