    Should I aggravate?

I have a L40 Dunadain priest, Fr Jack. So far he's been a sneaky character with lots of stealth, grabbing stuff off the floor and teleporting away monsters in vaults to get loot. But now he's found Deathwreaker and the Palantir of Westernesse, and he's tempted to use them despite the aggravation. I don't have any real experience of characters who aggravate, since this is only the second of my characters to reach the final 500'. Is this idea good, bad, insane, premature? Any advice will be welcome.

There aren't many items that make aggravation worth considering, but Palantir and Deathwreaker are two of them. Since you've got ESP, almost 800 hp, healing, detection, 0% fail, and a good set of resistances, you should be fine to aggravate, just be careful.

you could probably survive aggro, and activation for clairvoyance is huge. One option is to wield the palantir to activate and then take it off as you go to get your loot. You can keep deathwreaker as a swap in case you want the immunity and rdisen. Clean out your character inventory. No need for those rods of elemental balls, they're not doing nearly enough damage.

You're strong enough to take down a lot of the higher uniques. Especially with branded ammo and bard. You should save the slay evil and holy might ammo for morgoth though, that stuff is rare.

Go for it. With deathwreaker, and 0%-fail healing, that character can take on anything in the dungeon, easily.

Fr Jack just survived hanging around levels 94-96 with aggravating gear for a while, killing a few uniques and finding some useless artifacts. He's really missing regeneration at the moment. Aggravation causes him to run through hitpoints and mana at an alarming rate.

You have a whole lot of Teleport Other devices. You can still use them to decline fights you don't want...

I've been using them a lot, but I still find myself using consumables faster than I collect them. Especially good ammo. Perhaps I should alternate aggravating and non-aggravating trips.
