Prayer Descriptions

Being relatively new to a priest, I would like to know where I can find descriptions of the effects each prayer has. For instance, sanctuary sleeps monsters next to you or within x radius, etc...

In the game, "b" to browse a book, select a book, then select a prayer.

This does not show me what "Sanctuary" is, or "Prayer" is, for example... It shows me mana, lavel and usually damage, if damaging...

You need to select a prayer to see it's description while browsing.

Santuary = b 2 e
Prayer = b 4 a

Now I feel stupid... Has it always been there, even in EARLY versions of Angband? I don't remember that from when I started playing and guess I just assumed no one ever added it...
