Quiver uses backpack slots like in NPP/S

As of r1832 I have completed the NPP-style quiver slot handling--every 99 ammo items (regardless of stacking) uses up a slot in the pack. So, your quiver will use no space until you put something in it, then it will use one slot until you have 100 items, etc, etc.

One thing to note--if you load a save that had a full pack *and* a full quiver, when you start your game your character will probably spontaneously drop stuff out of the pack until it becomes legal. To avoid terrible problems, either pare down your pack before running the new version, or make sure you pay attention to what you might drop.

I've been testing this a bit but obviously the feature is kind of fiddly. Please let me know if (when?) you encounter bugs. Thanks.

    I think i found a bug/feature(?) related to this.

If you have a full backpack and you wield something off the ground, instead of dropping what you currently are wearing in that slot, you drop whatever is in the last slot in your pack and move what you are wearing to the pack.

Yeah, I think in my other thread I posted that this was still an open bug.

I'm working to fix this--since the code to take items off automatically shifts the other ammo down, i will need to shift the other ammo back up before storing the wielded ammo.

Anyway, thanks for testing it and pointing that out. Please let me know if you encounter other weird behavior also.

EDIT: I assume you meant "full quiver" instead of full backpack--if the backpack is full and the quiver isn't then things should work fine.

No...this has nothing to do with the quiver at all, but I think it was introduced with one of your changes.

I have a full backpack, such that I get a "you have no room for foo" message when I walk over something. I walk over a shield on the ground. I wield the shield. Instead of taking off the shield I was wearing and dropping it, it drops whatever was in the last inventory slot (not including the quiver) and moves the shield I was wearing to my backpack.

It's not a terribly big deal, and you can even argue that this is a reasonable approach. However, it's different than the previous behavior, and I'm not sure that's intended.

Oh, that was not intended at all!

I will work on reversing this shortly.

would be nice if there was some sort of indicator when a slot is taken.
I play with item list on in a subwindow. It looks like I still have room, but I don't.

            It should say something like
            w) used as quiver.

edit : I just saw that it does do the display when I use the i command instead of the inventory window.

edit2 : btw. the i display says QUIVER 0 missiles
when I have exactly 99 missiles
