Nightlies are new builds of the game which are created every night with the all the latest changes. They are not official releases and likely contain bugs and unbalanced features. Nightlies are most often played by developers and those who are interested in helping test/balance the latest changes.

Don't play nightlies unless you're prepared to suffer the occasional game-breaking bug. You never know when a developer will accidentally introduce Rations of Detonations or similar misbehavior.

It was hilarious for the rest of us.

While we're warning about nightlies, randarts may be a bit weird for a while as we move to the alloc_prob rarity system. They still work, and should still be fine when you find them, but if you scrutinise the spoilers or the randart.log file you might see some oddness. Bug reports gratefully received.

I have noticed a few quirks but figured they were just in the extreme randomness of artifact creation. I found a weapon with +50 to AC yesterday. But this amulet is the best (wish I'd found it!):

          The Jewel of Sulman
          -------------------
+1 speed, attack speed, shooting speed.
Cannot be harmed by acid, electricity, fire, cold.

When activated, it maps the entire level and detects objects, traps, doors,
          0 turns to recharge.

          Level 40, Rarity 40, 0.3 lbs, 25000 AU

Hmmm. Not sure why it says 0 turns to recharge. Otherwise it looks ok. +50AC is currently on Gondricam - very interesting if it turned up on a randart.
