Finally maxed stats - what level now?

So, I've got my 38th level Half-Elf mage. He's got maxed stats, but does not have poison, sound, nether, or disenchant resistance. He's got 0% spell failure chance, about 500 hit points and 300 mana. The only spell book I lack is Tenser's Transformations. He's got Billi Stonehand's Axe. I have a +4 RoS.

So, what level is appropriate for this guy? I know he needs the resists, but what's a good level? He's been hanging around 40 right now.

be careful though, you're probably in the habit of waltzing through packs of monsters. That'll kill you. Avoid any high-ish unique and anything that breathes something that you don't resist. (if you don't feel like it's cheating, check spoilers to find out.)

Well, it's been working so far. I went down to level 50 and got a superb feeling.
It's the cell block vault! Let's use my Rod of detection:

The Tarrasque
Ungoliant the Unlight
Shelob, Spider of Darkness
Ar-Pharazon the Golden
Harowen the Black Hand

With a couple of Great Wyrms thrown for good measure. There was a Ringwraith in there, too, got him, got the last two of the Uniques, and just got loads of artifacts - Thorin, Cubragol, and Belgennon, plus another six that weren't good enough.
