    Improvement suggestions?

    Where do these go?

What about a search function on your current dungeon level at least for items... Ever leave something on the floor, then want to come back to it and it take a while to remember where you left it?

Yep, It happens to me all the time. My cell phone, sunglasses, shoes, but it's never been a problem in Angband. I would like to see more variants adopt the ] - item list command. I find it very useful.

I don't squelch stat gain potions and typically use them for restore, especially when an Osyluth ruins my Charisma. It could also assist if you accidentally miss a potion of life, etc when clearing vaults, etc...

The best solution I thought for this would be to make the object list respond to selection or mouse clicks. I think this would be very hard to code though. Ideally, you'd move to the object list window, and while scrolling down it would adjust the main screen window so that the object is centered and highlighted by the cursor.

Furthermore, scrolling the item list subwindow, will keep you from the painful process of shrinking and resizing on those levels where there are several vaults filled with unid'd equpiment and all the potions are off the screen.

This would be awesome. A great UI improvement and I can't find the downside to it. No more looking around the whole freakin level in order to find the 1 or 2 things that you are actually interested in.

Easier, would be to display coordinates in the item list, as the item relates to your current position. Something like this

          Code:
          330' S, 170' W 7 Strips of beef jerky
Items closest to you could be listed at the top.
