    Problem with Windows 7 ?

I'm wondering if there's a problem running Angband with Windows 7?
It starts with no error message, but the window never appears, if I check Task manager I can see it running, but nothing else happens.
    Has anyone encountered this problem?

What version are you running? I have it on W7 with no problems.

Try running it in compatability mode for xp or 98?

    EDIT: Running the RC 7100

I've tried both 3.1.0 and 3.0.9b. Same problem with both...

I have occationally had the same problem on windows 98. I appears to me like a memory usage thing and it always gets fixed when I restart the computer.

          My old variant DaJAngband:
http://sites.google.com/site/dajangbandwebsite/home (defunct and so old it's forked from Angband 3.1.0 -I think- but it's probably playable...)

I see. This is fixed in SVN (it's a bad choice of message-sending functions in the Windows backend, any driver that hangs when registering a font will cause this).
Zaiband: end the "I shouldn't have survived that" experience. V3.0.6 fork on Hg.
Zaiband 3.0.10 ETA Mar. 7 2011 (Yes, schedule slipped. Latest testing indicates not enough assert() calls to allow release.)
