I was going to have a look at tidying up the ex-FORCE_MAXHP monsters (great wyrms et al.), but I thought I'd have a quick play first. It's going quite well - just found my first stat potion at 1950', 160k turns (cl21). I've noticed a couple of monsters that seem really quite out of whack:
1. The four-headed hydra has four attacks and +10 speed - it's significantly tougher than a colbran (which has only two attacks), and is a couple of levels shallower. It's the toughest thing at 1200' by quite a way.
2. The spirit naga is really pretty tough, native to 1400', has decent spells, is invisible, and also has four attacks ... and is worth 80xp for a 21st level character?? It's as tough as a dark elven lord, which is worth 500xp.
Not major issues, just observations. If I'm still alive at the end of this evening I'll post a dump ...
