    Disgusting people in the town

Who are the people in the town?

All the people except for those who are in the shop are really disgusting.

Why do they repeat doing silly things.

Does it have some meanings in the play?

Colud you erase all the people in the town except for those in the shop in the next version?

They don't have any meanings at all and they are really disgusting.

    I like the townies

a lot of them serve a purpose--

orphans are there to mob you and rob you blind-- makes it a bit more exciting walking around town with 60,000 gold to buy something cool from the store when there's a crowd of 30 of these guys (good reason to keep stinking cloud at home. . .)

mean looking mercenary and battle scarred veteran are there to kill impudent young adventurers, and later as a source of extra loot to get you that last 20 gold you need for WoR.

Shop keepers and aimless looking drunks are a tiny gift of loot from the heavens.

and the idiot and boil covered wretch are just some nice color. . . (sniff. I miss the skeletons, bones, and broken weapons)

Edit /lib/edit/monster.txt to remove the undesired townspeople. Delete /lib/data/monsters.raw so that the game will recreate it with the new data when you run it. Keep a backup of monsters.txt in case you break something. Also, the .txt files are in UNIX format, so notepad cannot display them cleanly. IIRC, wordpad can, and any decent text editor can. I use CONtext.

Coming soon to an Angband/65 near you.

... Oops, maybe a bit blatant there.

Angband is supposed to automatically update the *.raw files if the *.txt files are more recent. But I don't trust it. I've had horrible, horrible things happen because I didn't delete *.raw files after messing about with stuff.
        Currently turning (Angband) Japanese.
