The One Ring: Does it Exist?

I've found the One (twice), Feanor and Deathwreaker, but I've never even seen PDSM.

Of these, it might be worth pointing out that only Feanor was pre-Morgy. I think I got it from some Great Wyrm or other while clearing up summons from Ancalagon, somewhere in the 90s.
My first winner snagged The One and Deathwreaker from vaults while restocking healing potions following aborted attempts on Morgoth. That was one SLOW game.
The other time I got the One was my Kobold Rogue winner, who killed Morgy and went straight down to 127 in seach of a Plain Gold Ring. Finding it didn't take long at all.

Ok this is a bit spooky. As posted earlier in this thread, I hadn't seen the One since my first serious game of Angband more than ten years ago. A week ago, my DajAngband competition character finds it. Now my TinyAngband paladin has just got it from Sauron. Interesting that it was a paladin that found it in both cases, as this is *by far* the class I play the least. From a role-playing perspective, the paladin, along with the priest, should be the least inclined to wear it. In TinyAngband, it has a TY curse, so I'll wait until I start the fight with Morgie before putting it on. Role-play be damned!

For those of you who haven't played TinyAngband yet, I recommend giving it a try - lots of fun, and it offers even inexperienced players the chance to see lots of interesting and exotic items that they might never have survived long enough to find in full-scale Bands.

Feanor is common, 295 dumps on the Ladder mentions it. The One Right - 283 dumps. Deathwreaker - 104 dumps. Also 502 PDSMs, among whose 32 Bladeturners.
