Bug in SVN rev 1180

Greetings.
I was directed here from the angband-dev mailing list as the appropriate place to report a bug in Vanilla. If this is not correct, then I apologize, and humbly request redirection :-)

I am playing a dwarf paladin in a Mac OS X (10.5, on Intel) build of SVN rev. 1180, and at the 2500' level attempted to destroy a Scroll of Banishment in my inventory as "l". However, instead of destroying the scroll, my Gloves 'Cammithrim', which I was wearing (as "k") were destroyed with the message:

You destroy a Scroll titled "soleo adficcio" of Banishment. 
You no longer have the Set of Leather Gloves 'Cammithrim' [1,+10] (k)

The Scroll of Banishment is still in my inventory as "l".

As I am a shameless savefile-backing-up cheater, I have a recent save and am not particularly discommoded by the unfortunate incident; however, I thought it best to report it...

If any more information is required to help track down this bug, I will be more than happy to provide it.

Bah. I'm a developer myself; I should know better :-)

More info that should have been in the original post:
I tried destroying the Scroll of Banishment again, in the aforementioned earlier save, and it again destroyed Cammithrim.

I dropped it on the floor and tried to destroy it, and Angband crashed. Mac OS X helpfully produced a crash report, which I have zipped and attached. I hope it is helpful

Can you reproduce the bug in the latest revision (r1278)? I think your savefile should be compatible.

Ah...no. It does seem to have disappeared in the interim.
