    after defeating Morgoth--is it possible to see about collecting artifacts?

    Have defeated Morgoth, after a 4 hour battle consisting of numerous phase doors and teleporting to elsewhere on level to escape minions that complicate matters. Digging numerous tunnels so as to face Morgoth one on one. Using staff of banishment to get rid of minions. Using 10 potions of detonations(unsure as to how much damage they did since Morgoth shrugged off the effect). Advice to others ----load up on potions of *healing* as well as potions of healing. I potioned with healing as soon as HP dropped below 800 and saved *healing* for when I took a major hit.

    Am now bopping around on level 127(evidently can't go further down in search of rings of power, and best possible weapon/armor artifacts. And haven't found any artifacts at all after searching a coupe of days(total of searching level 127 about 10 times and level 126 about 10 times)

    Are their artifacts to be gotten after beating Morgoth?

    Suggestion to improve game
    ---once you defeat Morgoth, you retain all weapons and stats but automatically start over again at level 1. With the change being that the monsters at level 1 are upped in difficulty to what you last faced at level 100. So what were simple monsters are now much more powerful. And simply have all monsters approach 2/3 the difficulty of Morgoth as you once again journey to level 100 to face Morgoth again. Twist on this second time facing Morgoth is that there are two Morgoths to be defeated on level 100. And stategy is to defeat both. Preferably one at a time but with the risk of them teaming up on your character

    You should be able to find artifacts after completing the game, unless you've already found them all.

    Suggestion to improve game
    Most of us would suggest trying the game with different classes or peruse the variants instead of this. Angband (and variants) have a tremendous replay value; there's no point in "restarting" the game with the same character.
    a chunk of Bronze {These look tastier than they are. !E}
    3 blank Parchments (Vellum) {No french novels please.}

      I enjoyed many games of multiplayer Moria on the PLATO network back in the 1980's....are there any multiplayer versions of Angband(or variants) that utilize the same graphics, etc we have with Angband.

      It was quite a trip with the original Moria having the town with guilds(one of which your character eventually commits to), four different terrains your character could roam(Caves, Forest, desert, and don't remember the 4th)

      traveling in groups in exploring.

      And having a character killed and players conducting a funeral for that character via 'term-talk' that was available on PLATO network

      Any chance of guild features in Angband?

      Any chance of a weapons shop in which your character can design a weapon and have it made if your character has enough gold and experience to buy it? incorporating wt, weapon type, resistances, etc

        MAngband I guess. http://www.mangband.org/
        Never tried it myself.

        There are variants where there are buildings / services available for your class only.

        Sounds doable. I don't know if either of your suggestions are likely to get into Vanilla Angband, though.

            Just had a look at MAngband. Nice concept but the time delay to take a step is just too disconcerting.

              Deathwreaker was only uber artifact my first winner had (also had PDM though).
              I went to 127 and cleared several dragon pits a few greater vaults and at least 6 U pits. Only found Villa (had other 2). Then I gave up.

              I had a lot of fun going to NPP and trying to do quests all the way down.
