Obviously for thematic reasons the Cat Lord should be replaced with "Tevildo, Prince of Cats" from the original Tale of Tinuviel. Then there're no legacy D&D or Andrew Lloyd Weber issues. And he is clearly an animal as much as any demonic cat thing can be one.
