I just found a Robe of Permanence [2, +18] at DL effing 2!!! Wtf??? It provides resistance to acid fire lightning cold and sound, and cannot be harmed by those either. It also prevents exp drain, and it sustains ALL my stats.

HOW COULD THIS HAPPEN!?

Edit: AND 21 Rounded Pebbles of Flame (1d2) [+4, +7]!

Lol, yeah, I got excited cos I've never found anything that good on that low of a level before... it's pretty good armor for my cl 8 Hobbit Rogue, lol. ^^;;

20AC's not so bad for like... 2 lb armor. =]

don't pooh-pooh it - it's about the best ego armor there is, unless you get a really convenient piece of elvenkind.

Every time I find something ridiculously overpowered, I always get EXTREMELY paranoid because I know my karma is going to catch up with me and the RNG is just baiting me.

Yes, I think the only thing that will doom your character more quickly than finding some amazing OOD item is finding some amazing item and then bragging about it in the forums.

It provides resistance to the four base elements plus one random hidden resistance.

Very good early finds often lead to an early death. ;-)
