    Everything I Need Below 1000'

    What do I need below 1000'? ((3.1.0))

Because I'm currently running my best character ever a cl26 Warrior, and I'm around 1100' and I'm afraid to go deeper in case I'm missing something very important.
    I is the Larva. <3

You could post a dump of your char so we can see what you currently have.

Just in case, go in the (C)haracter Information and press (f) to dump the char.

Hmm... Sting gives me +2 to speed and some other good stuff, and also, I get 6 blows per round, which I think is good by 1000'?

I personnaly think that if I had what you have I'd probably be deeper than 2000'

But you should be on the lookout and avoid Confusing monsters and dont clutter yourself with restore Charisma, at this point in the game, the difference in price isn't worth the trouble because you're actually getting more cash with the better stuff you sell.

I forgot to mention, don't spent too much time on a level, your risking your life.
When new awake monsters get spawned, you never know what will be waiting for you around the next corner.

And enchant your weapons, particularly your bow, to (+9, +9). That's going to be a BIG improvment!
If you could get your hands on a crossbow, even better.
Next char, try a dwarf, rBlind is a must for me.

Okays. Thank you for your advice. I ran into some water hounds at 1200', and that wasn't very pretty. I forgot they could jack up your equipment, so I dropped about 40AC, LOL. But I'm better now... got a Ring of Damage +8, and rAcid rFire and Booth of Stealth + The cloak, so yeah... doin okays now. ^_^

For myself I like to kill everything instead of run away and I don't detect as much as I probably should so I like to make sure I have free action covered by about 1000' and see invisible soon after. If i have those two I'll head for 1500'

I disagree. Getting bow to those stats will take too much time/money.

Finding a better launcher is easier if you keep looking (deeper).

In my experience, weapon/armour enchantment should only be undertaken as a secondary (rather than primary) strategy.

*Find* something better. Buying or enchanting are less worthy options.

(+7, +7) is a good level of enchantment. Enchanting beyond that takes a lot of money, but it's still worth it if you don't get lucky finding an ego bow.

I think this depends on what version/variant we're talking about.

In V 309, enchanting is almost always the way to go - ?toDam and ?toHit were in frequent and high supply at the alchemist's, so there was no real excuse to not max your blows/bow multiplier and enchant away and then dive to your heart's content.

In NPP those scrolls are much rarer, and the store service is expensive as hell, making it a tough sell.

In 310, the stacks of scrolls are smaller and the ego drops are much more common, so I'd say it's an even decision - go ahead and search for your ego drops, because they *will* come, but in the meantime there's no reason not to modestly upgrade your store-bought gear, if you play quickly. If you play slowly, upgrade away - the good stuff doesn't start raining down until 1500' anyway.
Bands, / Those funny little plans / That never work quite right.
