Downloaded from SVN (on December 03, 2008), rolled a half-troll warrior, for funsies... Got to level 7, 150'.
Ran in to a "something" that likes to fear me. It would fear me, blink away, then a few rounds later fear me again, etc. etc. It feared me, then blinked away, but when I attempted to move back down the path, it claimed that there was a wall in the way. This happened a few times, then a novice rogue showed up while I was feared, and started hitting me. I waited the fear out, then attempted to attack, but it said I was still feared. Saving and restarting the game removed the bug, but I noticed when I started the game back up, I got:
Error 1 in line 164 of file '/home/tehsnarf//.angband/Angband/Tehsnarf.prf'. Parsing 'Q:4:80:4:0'
No idea what you might need, or if this is something that's being looked at, etc. etc.
Nevermind. I found this thread: http://angband.oook.cz/forum/showthread.php?t=1131, which pointed me to this: http://dev.rephial.org/trac/ticket/624, which tells me that it's a known issue.
