What are the odds?? Buckland vs One Ring

Which of these are the least likely to happen?

A Sling of Buckland found on the floor at 150' / level 3

or

The One Ring found in a chest at 4950' / level 99?

I was very happy with both of them!!

from my own game history, The One Ring is more common that Slings Of Buckland at that depth. I have found 2 Bucklands early, but have found a dozen The One.

Also, jeez, +2 power, +2 speed, and a decent +dam, that's rare even at DL98.

I can't remember when fractional bow speed was introduced, but I am 90% sure it was present in 4.1. That would mean the sling is only a little faster than normal. (Buckland was really heavily nerfed by that change.)

It was a major nerf, and maybe too much for Buckland slings, from great to being just somewhat better than heavy crossbows of power.
