    okay, eschiss1 , I think I have it better now. https://github.com/angband/angband/pull/6761 Thanks for your patients. Hopefully this takes care of the stupid detect arrays for now.

                Borg did not crash immediately after walking upstairs to ground floor etc. this time (or at all so far...) so doesn't seem to be an issue now; crossing fingers Thanks!
