Arkenstones are common?

actually DL45-46 is waaaay better than 46-47. There's some nasty stuff on DL47. Just out of experience, i find that DL47 is the real first bump in difficulty, and AMHDs start showing up. Don't ask me what weird RNG magic does this because i dont know.

With the same reasoning, there is no reason to ever do anything between DL65 and DL97. Tons of nasty undead stuff, you might as well read some DD and go directly to the DL97-98 stair scumming.

GREAT advice from the community again! Shortly after my last winner I decided to try a faster approach and I went down to mid '40s for stat gain--*way* faster, for one thing i found like 3 potions of Augmentation before I was maxed--huge time-saver.

This character managed to cobble together +9 speed without a ring but he's getting a little slow for my taste, I will need to get a ring of speed soon or better boots than just +4-- but I did just nab an 11d5 BoC artifact off of Itangtast that looks like a real world-beater with Paladin *slay evil* spell...
