Warrior, number of blows in 4.2.4? Still inferior to rogues?

I remember reading an inconclusive thread prior to 4.2 on how Warriors no longer got a 6th blow and was pretty much inferior to rogues, who could melee and cast spells.

Was this fixed in 4.2? Why play a Warrior vs Rogue in this patch?

Because rogues are now ridiculously fragile, and have mostly underwhelming spells. (There's good detection, sure. But the only remaining buff is haste, IIRC.)

Where do you think warriors are now power wise?

Warriors are still weaker than rogues imo. Their only remaining advantage is that you can find an early *thanc and get to clvl ~30 quickly before you hit the wall.

And yes, rogue melee has been nerfed (maybe because stealing was useful in its early form ?), but there is still the paladin who was the king of melee before and has arguably become even better with the spell changes.

Id put paladin >> rogue > warrior, changed from paladin > rogue >> warrior.

You left out Blackguard. Very weak early, and pretty weak at CL 15/20. But unstoppable after stat gain kicks in.

On purpose. They are a different beast.

The metric by which I compare the classes above is vague - something of a mix between ease of playing overall, strength throughout the game and endgame strength. You can place more emphasis on one or the other but since they play very similarly it wont change much for the end result.

Blackguards otoh are unique once the spells kick in; I can say that in the endgame, they are up there with paladins and in the early game they are weaker than a hobbit rogue. I dont know how to give them a meaningful place in the list.

Plus, I havent played them all that much.
