I hadn't played Angband in quite a while (mostly just old 3.0.6 characters), so I downloaded the latest
Thoughts so far:
I like the fact that the point-roller is the default now, and I like the state of birth/AI options and such. The interface for them is a lot better now, too. Similarly, the interface for the 'Knowledge' screen is much, much better. And squelch is a great idea.
I like what's been done with torches, they're no longer useless.
I don't like the store interface, I keep repeatedly buying/selling the wrong things, and even when taking it slowly I find it confusing. Also, why can't I see how much things that I want to sell will sell for?
I gave the graphical tilesets a go, but ultimately I found the monsters too hard to distinguish between.
Any news on when a new one will be out, and what's planned for it?
