    How Dangerous is Black Breath?

Hi guys haven't played in a while. As I mentioned in another post I'm playing a late game mage at the moment. All these darn Wraiths have Black Breath... should I be worried? I don't know what it does. I'm all for science and stuff but... I just don't want to instantly die. How bad is it? With the other new stuff like Fire Storms, Nether Storms etc it's pretty obvious what's going to happen or not happen. I don't trust the game lol.

    edit:
I got too curious. Okay so it's not too dangerous at all lol. No Insta Death yey.

It drains EXP, STR, CON, at random over a few turns. It's comparable to a time attack.

Nothing to worry about really. Having said that, as a high level mage you shouldn't be getting that close to Wraiths and other high level uniques!

I really like black breath in TomeNET there the only way to cure it - is to 'eat' Sprig of Athelas which is quite rare.

Or you can recall and use the store service, which is kinda dull.

nope, it's not dull cure Black Breath (BB) service is in Gondolin - while you can get BB at the other part of the world, eg in PotD.. so by the time you will get there - BB will drain your exp (permantly) and stats (not-perma, but also nasty as they do not restore when you get lvl - only by curing them with pots)..

Also cure service costs are pretty high. So in most cases you should try to get Athelas

all this gives real narrative towards BB.. while in V (and T I should say) - BB is quite decorative and boring.
