Tome 2.3.5 - no side quests

Hi

I played tome 2.3.5 a long time ago, and wanted to give it another shot.

I installed the files, and it runs fine, but it doesn't ask me number of random quests at the start of the game. So I can't get fumble fingers or princess quests.

Is there a way that I can fix that or another download?

Are you playing with the "Always generate very unusual rooms" birth option on? That kills the optional quests.

No I don't.

I think I found it, I started a new character and unflagged the "persistent dungeon" flag. which allowed me to get side quests.
