    Two suggestions

    1. Morgoth is known for having thralls in his service so why not have an occasional thrall spawn with one or two guards and when freed this thrall would receive randomised stats depending on the level you are on and he would help you fight your way through the dungeons until the end of the game or life you could also equip the thrall with equipment of your choice from your inventory

    2. you should be able to wedge/barricade a door using weapons like what was done in Bailin's tomb in The Fellowship of The Ring, this would not only delay the enemy but it would alert you to their presence if they try to slam the door down

I would love if this made it into the game, thanks for reading

staves of imprisonment kinda do this. not really worth it as enemies can usually bash the door down easily.

I did not know they existed because I am new to the game and my best is about 350 feet, thanks for informing me about that though, what do you think about my thrall idea, do you think it is possible?

Imprisonment might be of limited use. Yet, you can build "walls" with sufficient light (against light sensitive units) and there is staff of warding that magically blocks the way (blocking many non-uniques until endgame, very useful for archers) and there are several ways to produce earthquakes that can block passages as well.

Simply closing doors works as a warning system, since you are telepathically connected to all of them and see them open and close

I believe Sil isn't really designed for multiple units, all kinds of move order questions instantly arise when multiple units are available. Of course half and scatha make the game, but I imagine they would only add multiple units when they have a good solution for move order problems. (Sil has so many elegant solutions to rule absurdities.)
