Besides wraiths of course. I'm noticing an odd effect. I'm wearing boots of Imre, I'm blind & I can see patchs of darkness moving on the lit up squares. I know there's a shadow, a shadow spider & a lurking horror on the level. I'm pretty sure I can see the darkness radius of the shadow spider moving on lit up squares (even though I'm blind & out of sight range), but there's also something permanently removing light squares as well.
What can permanently darken squares?

Maybe it's something eating the terrain? When terrain changes, you lose memory of it (e.g. after an Earthquake or *Destruction* or hits-to-cause-earthquakes).Comment

Maybe I was just imagining it then, I wish I'd kept a copy of the save. It's tricky to remember just what squares you've step on & with sprinting you sometimes draw strange patterns. I know for sure a corridor I'd walked down had turned dark, though that could of been the lurking horror just camping there.
At the very least there's some effect with light/darkness similar to monsters opening doors off screen. You can see more then you should.
Nether worms & Kemenrakuo eat walls not floor, so I doubt it was that. I would of noticed an earthquake.Comment
