    Strong Build for New Players

I've been playing Sil on and off for a little while now, and though I've made some progress I always have a hard time deciding what skills and abilities to level up. I know that this depends at least somewhat on the gear you find but I was wondering if there were any strongish builds reccomended for new players to get them used to the game. I tend to like getting Lore-Master at some point because I don't know if I have the patince to learn the whole ID game and I've been pretty much avoiding smithing because it seems complicated. Any advice?

Smithing is actually one of the best tools for new players to use to get a feel for the game, because on the second level you visit there is guaranteed to be a forge where you you can smith gear that gives you a big boost starting out.

If you want ready-to-use build help, I'd recommend:

    *Noldor of house Feanor
    *stat array 3443
    *6 points in Smithing
    *buy Armorsmith and Artistry
*make +1 EV +1 PV boots, helm, and studded leather at the first forge

The sheer quality of that gear won't be matched by random drops until like 500', so you'll have a leg up on the early game that you can use to get used to things.

This seems like really good advice. I'll try it thanks!
