Sil 1.1.0. Known monsters not working

    Hello there,

I could not find anything on the subject even with "search" (maybe too low Perception, lol)... I also know I use an "old" version of Sil.

Can it be that the "known monsters" and "known items" menues do not work (properly)? I saw silstreamer's Videos on youtube, and he could access all information about any monster in the game, because he finished it. I am far from it, having only reached 400' lately. But I can only access information about monsters/items i saw THIS game.

Nothing about predecessors, or anything from the last games...

Does the encyclopdia only work after WINNING the game?

Or was it broken in 1.1.0?

    Thank you for reading&answering...

There's a weird feature in Angband variants that you can re-use the same savefile over and over again. Any monsters that you see in a previous game will have their recall information stored if you restart off the same savefile when you die or win.

If you get loremaster, you can see everything about all monsters, but only the ones you actually see ingame will have their data carry over to subsequent uses of that savefile.

I just posted a new video for beginners, if you're interested in that sort of thing (That's my youtube channel)
