Neat bug that Basil on IRC spotted - I don't really know enough about the lower-level code to figure it out unfortunately (or if I tried, I'd probably break something else even worse in the process). More specifically, it looks like quitting happens after the player's turn is processed, but before monster actions occur. This means that saving and quitting increments the turn counter, regenerates some player HP and Voice (or decreases Voice if the player is singing, decreases HP and the poison counter if poisoned, etc.) and so on, all without monsters getting to act.
