    [Sil] Term Windows Causing Crashes

So I appear to be encountering a fairly severe problem with Sil in particular. The window-set (main window plus terms) extends down under my taskbar, and any attempts to resize the term windows or change their font causes the program to crash. The main window appears to be immune to this, however.

Repositioning the term windows gives me no trouble, but I can't fit them all onscreen very well, and there's going to be a lot of guesswork involved in trying to get things sized and positioned right through manipulating values in the INI. I'm guessing this might have something to do with the fact that I'm running the game on Windows 8 (compatibility modes seem to do nothing to help), but whatever the cause, it's a rather severe bug.

Upon further examination it looks like this only happens when I'm on the title screen, before starting the game. Once I'm in the game the windows are freely resizable as normal.

This bug happens on Windows XP for unknown reasons. On Windows 7, windows are re-sizable without crashing on Title Screen.
My best try at PosChengband 7.0.0's nightmare-mode on Angband.live:

If I'm offline I'm probably in the middle of maintaining Gentoo or something-Linux or other.

Huh, must be some weird under-the-hood functionality XP and 8 share... Oh well. Thanks for the prompt reply.
