    Stunning absent from C display

Stunning is absent from the detailed C view (where all your resistances and abilities are shown). The matrix is full, so I guess that is why it's missing, but stunning is more important than several other entries, so I suggest replacing something else (S.Dig, Feath, ImpHP, ImpSP) as a quick fix.

I vote for Fear. This one should be pretty obvious when you have it.

EDIT: On second thought, perhaps Tunnel. You might want to see which equipment item is giving you the Fear attribute. Tunnel doesn't seem all that important.
If beauty is in the eye of the beholder, then why are beholders so freaking ugly?

I vote for removing feather falling altogether to make room for stunning.

All temporary effects are absent from the C view – the matrix view is for flags.
takkaria whispers something about options. -more-

Jens is talking about protection from stunning.

And really what we need is an expanded display, since there are other abilities that we may want to add (per-race telepathy, split HP/MP regen, protection from hallucination...) and this issue is just going to keep coming up.

We have a ticket for the expanded display - #843. In the meantime we probably do need to add pStun, since Timo has made it available on one or two items ...

On the gripping hand there is the idea, that as soon as your status display doesn't fit on a single page anymore, you know your variant is needlessly complicated.

Searching, Stealth, Infra, Blows, Shots, Tunneling, Might, ImpSP, ImpHP, Fear (as in ring of Escaping-fear, not pFear) are all quite useless info. You see blows and shots from main C-screen, fear, ImpSP and ImpHP are on items nobody uses for long and especially fear is very obvious, Searching, Stealth, Infra, Tunneling, Shots, Blows and Might are obvious from items and are not binary (they have PVAL), no point to include them to chart unless you also include the PVAL (negative or positive).

Which item has ImpSP? I don't recall any. ImpHP is in ring of open wounds, which is junk that I squelch as soon as I find one (ring and inventory slots have WAY better uses than that).

Take a look at Sangband. It has at least three screens to V's two, and isn't needlessly complicated.

I have now opened ticket 1478 for this issue.

It would be good if we could get a consensus on what flag to replace.

I'm still in favor of Tunnel. I have never checked my character sheet to see if I have a + to Tunnel, and I question whether anyone else has. Should we put our feedback here or in the ticket?

EDIT: Behind Tunnel, if we need to make room for any more flags, I would vote for Light, Searching, and Fear (not pFear), in that order.

I check Light now and then, it's the only flag that is not a pval, which is still cumulative. Seeing how many and which eq have it at a glance is helpful.

My vote is for Fear, you notice it directly when you put it on, so you will know what eq it comes from. Your Status line will keep showing it, so you don't need to check if you have it. It's only present on one item.

                        After Fear I'd go for:
                        Might/Shots
                        ImpSP/ImpHP
                        Feath
                        Tunn.

                          Feath
                          Tunn.
Actually we've had quite a few "bug reports" from new players who have put on a ring of the mouse and not realised it made the Afraid. So I'm not sure removing Fear is the best choice.

AFAICT ImpSP isn't used anywhere yet, so that can probably go until we do the proper redesign.
