DSM:s of speed. How to remove?

I have found too many DSM:s of speed recently. Those are seriously overpowered, so I think I should remove them. How? Where in the code has that been determined?

(3.2.0, not playing nightlies until things stop spinning around like dervish in speed)

Can you not pull them out of ego*.txt, or decrease their probability?

In S, the functions that (would) give them speed is apply_magic(), and make_ego_item() is how ego items are chosen. Both are in object2.c. YMMV in vanilla.

Hum, obviously. Too easy solution for me to think. Thanks, it seems that DSM object type has just been added to speed-ego. I thought that it was something more complex. I'll just remove that line in ego_item.txt.

I'd appreciate people's thoughts on what ego DSM types there should be, and how rare they should be (relative to each other, and to non-ego DSM). Pls don't limit yourselves to existing ego types.

As it happens, we already have a thread for that.

Thank you. Not sure how I forgot about that.
