As a fun curiosity, this is not what I normally wear, but I dressed up like this for our local archery club, that luckily now has mostly longbow/horsebow shooters compared to the group of men in their 60s shooting composite bows a few years ago:

Yay! Looking forward to that, even though it means painting more tiles
Will the new code perhaps be made so that you call for a specific image rather than calling upon a portion of a large tilesheet, when you want to display for example a specific battleaxe? In other words, moving from huge tilesheets, to separate images for everything? It might sound like alot of work, and I'll personally voulenteer to add all the filenames to the code, if that helps making it soLeave a comment:

When I've done my affixes branch, this should work perfectly!Last edited by Shockbolt; September 22, 2011, 10:15.Leave a comment:

I'm hoping that somewhere down the line, Angband will allow for using various tiles of the same object, so that you'd perhaps see 3-4 Tulwars next to eachother but with minor differences and perhaps they'll be shown after what condition they're in (rusty, broken, excellent etc)Leave a comment:

Spot on, the one to the bottom-left is the Blade of Chaos.
With a background of lots of gaming and roleplaying, it was an easy task to paint these, with a little help of my Rolemaster rpg books

These are wonderful, very lovingly executed!
I imagine it must have been tricky to differentiate some of these. Cutlass, tulwar, and scimitar for example. Is the Blade of Chaos the Flamberge-looking one?
For me the Main Gauche is especially exquisite. Wish I could paint like that! The sling is also great, it seems like a shame to waste the tile on such a modest weaponLeave a comment:
