    Vanilla, Trac, Git, etc.

So, as of today, a few things have changed:

    1. Spam is removed from V's Trac.

    2. If you want to report a bug on Trac, you have to register and log in. This is to prevent more spam. It also means that you can assign yourself tickets if that's what you want to do.

    3. SVN access has been turned off. Angband's official repository is now at http://github.com/angband/angband.

    4. As a result, Trac now uses Git revision numbers and is linked to the GitHub git repository. Old revision numbers don't link to new revisions yet, but they will do at some point.

    Enjoy!

As a variant maintainer, I'm intensively using the changesets from Trac to evaluate and add recent changes from Vanilla to my variant (I still have to evaluate all changes since the 3.1.1 beta release). Do I need to get the Git software to have access to the Git revision numbers?
PWMAngband variant maintainer - check https://github.com/draconisPW/PWMAngband (or http://www.mangband.org/forum/viewforum.php?f=9) to learn more about this new variant!

No, you can just browse changesets at github (or Trac when I work out how to turn on git support without grinding my server to a halt).
