    On Windows, fwrite() and fread() are broken.(?)

    That statement doesn't appear to be correct anymore. Or, at least, when the _read version of file_read() was broken in JBand the fread version appeared to work just dandy.
    Currently turning (Angband) Japanese.

    I have no idea what the problem was when I wrote that comment, but I'm assuming there was one, so I'm not changing it.

      Do savefile blocks ever get above 16384 in Angband by the way? That's the bit that I had trouble with.
