Enjoying the competitions!

These latest Angband competitions have forced me to play classes that I haven't played in the past and it has been very educational and fun!

I also feel that the competitions take a relatively solitary activity (playing angband) and create some collaboration and interaction that is welcome.

I haven't really tried to play Mangband yet, maybe once these latest round of competitions are over.

angband.live also cultivates some community which I appreciate. Alas, I haven't really played many of my competition characters on angband.live, but hope to change that for the next round.

I commend the competitors that have been playing on angband.live - Ingwe, sphara, bron, wobbly and any others that I may have failed to mention.

The Lag Monster on angband.live hasn't killed me yet, although it has definitely come close to it on several occasions.

I'm assuming the plan is to have 2 more in this series (i.e. Ranger and Blackguard)?

Hopefully I'm not speaking out of turn, but I'm told it's Dunadan Blackguard next followed by Elf or Half-Elf Ranger.

Agreed! I've been greatly enjoying the comp threads as a lurker, gonna have to start trying to join in. Following along with dumps has also been really useful for getting over my inclination to explore rather than dive.
