    Anyways, here's a random tip:
Don't hack dragon corpses!!! You will be surprised to find out the effect if it's the first time doing this!!
My best try at PosChengband 7.0.0's nightmare-mode on Angband.live:

If I'm offline I'm probably in the middle of maintaining Gentoo or something-Linux or other.

      It's night time, silly!
Looking at your screenshot, you can see the town walls and floors prefectly... when they are lightened. Just equip your starting torch!

Yeah, this is true. It's really weird for a game to start up and you can't see a thing at all...

But, I was also getting weird glitches where the @ sign would remain on my previous spaces and not get cleared off.

I eventually copied the font-mac.prf and renamed it font-win.prf and it works now.

          Thanks

If anyone has a ToME forum account and wants to post the comp announcement in the ToME2 board, that would be awesome I tried to register but there's a stupid game-specific registration question about golems or something and it made me angry and I ragequit.

Estie I've had some people complaining that using the savefile in 2.3.4 is busted because it might actually be a 2.3.5 savefile. It loads, it just sometimes does crazy shit (like giving you 50 weaponmastery and empty stores).

Is the savefile 2.3.5 or 2.3.4? If it's the former, could we recreate it as the latter?

Hmmn, it seems like this problem may be cropping up when folks build from source. I'll hold off on swapping the savefile for now, but will backpocket this in case we need it Thanks for the quick reply!

                    Done.

Yeah about the forums, you need to know a bit of Tales of Maj Eyal... but the answers should be obvious no?

I forgot how to get out of Khazad-dum without traversing all of the mines of Moria.
Reset recall to Barrow Downs level 1, because thats next to Bree, right ? Wrong! If I recall there, taking the upstairs takes me right beck to Khazad-dum (which is clearly a bug).

Maybe resetting recall to the lowest mines level does it, but clearly there should be a Thunderlord offering his services in the white peaks of the mountains.

I'm pretty sure you have to re-traverse the Mines to get out. Moria is kind of buggy.

At least ToME doesn't have a Nowhere Town!

I'm guessing going to BD level 10 and going down might work. Reset recall to the shallowest level of Moria should probably also work, but it's been a while since I've played.

(The dungeon entrances and exits have always been pretty wonky, I think. It's one of those things you just get used to, I suppose.)

Resetting the recall to the lowest of the Mines of Moria will do the job. And you'll be able to leave the dungeon via the Moria wilderness entrance (and NOT end up in the trapped area near Khazad-dum!).

I dont think that works, bdw10 has no down staircase unless it happens to be a lost sword level. Reset to lowest moria seems the only way.

Beware the MostAnnoyingToMETrap, the dialogue that pops up when you hit 45 - I had completely forgotten about it and naturally lost the town. Its hard to not click past it even when you do remember about it....

                                Spoiler
The '45 trap' can be a death trap if players accept it uprepared. Declining has *that one other bad effect* though.
