Competition 152

For those of you looking for a preview of comp 152, it's up now:

We'll be playing Sil 1.2.1. The character is a 2232 Edain of Beor, and starts with dodging, leaping, Angrist, and 2500 XP for you to allocate.

I've playtested this one a bit and it seems OK, but the savefile is still subject to change before the official comp start in ~70 hours.

(Thanks to clouded who recommended I play through 50' at least -- the first savefile I generated had the Broken Sword of Amras right outside the starting room

Yes, but I should clarify that I hope people don't feel like they have to win to enter the comp. The main idea is just to have fun playing a particular character type that others are also trying, and to see how far they can get.

I was going to try, but I actually decided that I needed to learn the game a little more before making an attempt at a challenge build.

It should be noted that half didn't create this savefile -- I did. So if you want to hate someone, it should be me (Actually, I thought he might find this use of Beren's character to be distasteful, given the context, but if he did he's been too kind to say so thus far )

I didn't mean to discourage anyone. In fact, I believe the competition chars are getting increasingly more difficult and I am not sure this should be pushed any further.

(My latest attempt is to run Beren as very much stealth, very little archer. The stealth is true to lore at least, but with 2 dexterity as base everything is hard.)

I do agree that having 2 sil Edain comps in a row was probably pushing the envelope a bit. I'd like to see a Naugrim done next, for the record
