    Competition 149

    Hey folks, the Sil comp 148 still has several days to go, but I'm being Type A at making these comps because I'm still a noob.

    I created an Unangband 0.6.4b character for 149 but I'm not really sure if it's "suicidally impossible" or not, or if the build even makes sense -- if anyone would like to do a quick trial run and let me know if it's sane or not, I would be very grateful. I seem to be dying a lot, but I'm also terrible at everything that isn't a dude with a big axe -- http://angband.oook.cz/competition.php?showcompo=149

      Also, if anyone wants to explain to me how setting traps is supposed to work, I'd be happy to hear it. I set the things by doing handle item, spike trap, but when monsters walk over it they just pick up the spiked item or seemingly ignore it . Do I have to manually trigger them somehow?

          OK, there are just under 48 hours to go in comp 148. I tweaked the 149 character a bit and managed to run Farmer Maggot's dungeon up to that ridiculously annoying blinky endboss, so I think she's at least survivable.

          I have no idea if the trap thing is going to be an interesting part of the gameplay because it seems totally busted to me, but at least the device proficiency should help once you, like, find some of those.

          Unless anyone objects strenuously in the next 24 hours, this will end up being the finalized comp 149 character!

              We're playing Unangband 0.6.4b, which can be downloaded from its variant page. The character is an Artisan of Dale, who is good with devices.

              I have no idea how this one is going to go, but neither did I get any feedback so...

                  It seems sorting is incorrect, now that I killed a unique monster I should be ahead of your initial post, no?

                              Come on people, let's see some more entries -- Thraalbeast is kicking ass and taking names right now, and I can't imagine Roch appreciates the pressure of being his only competition!
