Yes, this happened at DL 39, but for my poor mage, it is by far the best drop yet. Even the gloves of free action and the armor of resist acid* I have are from the store.
No other egos of note. No dungeon books.

*really. And that amulet will be a swap with lighting, for the moment.

So I had to abandon that character because my ancient phone died. I have a replacement now, a Dunadan mage. It was painful til first sources of SI and Infra, but I didn't have the problem with resistance, and an epic ring of the mouse helped a ton, at (0,-7) <+4>

Then on DL 45 I got a 3-8 feeling, and it wasn't an unusable book:
d) a Ring of Speed (+8)

The mouse ring is stored until my int gets high enough for 0-fail without the ring of Int. MB 4 would be nice, too. Elemental spells just don't cut it, what with destroying stuff on the floor.
