    (d18 hp, means im 4hp off from the maximum !!)

      Prior to the Sauron fight i had 19 Heal, 13 *Heal, 2 Life, 8 Banish, 7 MBan, 6 Rune. 500 damage +21 base Spd. I found +2 Life and had to pop 1 Banish to save myself from some shard-breathing wyrms that had summoned EVERYTHING.

      No really OOD drops here but i was blessed with the most extraordinary hit-dice rolls in history.

        second attempt mage, doing better with HP, and also Orfax dropped a crossbow x5 +15, which gives me a 70 damage/round shooter with basic bolts.

          i have reconsidered Mana Storm as an offensive spell - it's ok if you are going for single-target, but still not good if you need to kill high-HP goons, like balrogs.
          I am now convinced that you cannot level a mage past 45 without potions of experience.

          Aaaand ... yup. I found AGAIN The One Ring, which is now seven times. You guys need to play more.

          I had initially planned to kill Morgoth with my Crossbow Of The Haradrim, which i used to kill just about every unique prior to Sauron. Unfortunately, while taking out Kronos, i somehow managed to destroy nearly ALL my 160+ stash of good bolts - not sure if he trampled them or what. So i started using mana storm.

          For Morgoth, i laid out a .. uh, didn't count them, but i'll say 10x20 room of Rune Of Protection. The fight was still difficult, Morgoth tried what he could, but in the end i prevailed, with not even 900hp at CL50 and CON 210.

            pretty horrid randart set, have not have rShards or rSounds a single time during the whole game, had a ton of ESP, but some atrocious Rings Of Power. A lucky early find of an Arkenstone helped me considerably to get more drops early on. I actually left my ESP at home as my alternative was a pBlind +6 WIS helm which doubled my mana.

            But, i didnt find this:

              i JUST uploaded my last winner, start a new rogue, and the very first thing that happens is i go to DL1, immediately (like, 3 steps from the stairs) find Fang, kill it (somehow), and jump to CL3 and 39!! hp.

                    it doesnt hurt when you find both an Arkenstone and a weapon with +9 Spd early on; BUT, i was for a long time without FA, and at some point had +30 Spd but with 100 damage base.
                    In the end, i went down with 6 Heal, 14 *Heal, 5 Life, which is much less than what i normally carry, because i'm itching to try 4.2.1

                    Notable randart set for being the most CON i have ever seen; at one point i had 18/*** with my base score being 11 !!!
