DudeMan winner
I was newer able to beat the game with a mage without cheating. Now first try and it happened.
Beginning wasn´t very good. Things started to turn better at character level 18 as I was able to buy a potion of intellect and a ring of intelligence +3 from the black market. After going back to the dungeons a druid dropped a potion of experience and I went for character level 19 to level 28.
Very soon I found:
the Ball-and-Chain 'Mondur' (10d4) (+8,+19) <+5>

It took 12 potions of Restore Mana, 12 potions of Healing, 3 potions of *Healing*. I killed Morgoth mainly with Rift. In the end I cast a few Meteor Showers just to show him I was no one trick pony. Also Banishment and Mass Banishment spells were needed quite a few times.
Next I will try to get my first non cheating standart WIN.
