Well, 'be careful what you wish for' is what they say, and for good reason: I finally got the adventure I was looking for.

That's not the only close call chronicled in the linked video. Many more adventures were to follow in close succession. You may want to scrub forward in the video with the right arrow key between encounters and when I'm mulling over my options. I will get a video editing program at some point when I find one that is cheap and easy to use.

I found some good artifact rings but neither with an appreciable amount of CON on them. I have an inferior weapon at home with +4 con I will have to wear to the final fights if I don't find CON elsewhere. I have very nice +4 speed Adamantite armor with no CON as well. Still not quite 600hp (my CON! is maxed). Just 6k away from CL44.

Steadily diving down to DL94. Killed a lot of stuff, didn't find many bolts to replace the good ones I had like seekers of wounding and acid. Feeling a little bit like I'm not ready for the final fights even though they ineluctably approacheth. My launcher X5 +23, +4 shots is very good, though, and combined with good bolts takes down all but the very very toughest uniques with ease.

EDIT: Sorta feel like things are getting down to the wire. My staff of speed is empty, my wands of TO are empty (one blew up), I'm out of recharging scrolls and I have yet to find magic book 2, my DEX is still 17 and my WIS is 15. Despair starts to well up inside of me. Doubt creeps into my thoughts like a dark cloud. Only 4 more dungeon floors before I meet with Sauron, whether I feel ready for such an encounter or not. Must keep my head up. Must find hope soon....

Good riddance to my miserable existence. Hope I did not find. Only death.
