    Self-defeating enemies are the best.

    Well, that was a first.

Borodri the dwarven druid was on DL20 and, finding herself surrounded by rangers and druids and with no more mana for Lightning Strike, retreated into a cave. As she backed up, her spirits sank as she realised the cave was home to a grizzly bear. The bear approached her from behind while the druids began busily summoning monsters in front of her, her bolts flying wide of the mark as she began to panic. Was this where her quest would end?

Then, foolishly, one of them summoned a blue dragon bat. Before she even had time to act, it unleashed several bursts of electricity, killing the rangers and their minions as well as the grizzly, leaving her standing nearly unharmed in her blue dragon scale mail.

She quickly dispatched it with a crossbow bolt and whistled a merry tune as she looted the corpses, thinking that it is an unwise adventurer who attempts to wield a power they cannot control.

Don't dragon bats do like 0.02 damage? How did the little miscreant kill all the other monsters? Hmm....
